François Vignaud

Director

Born in France’s Cognac region, François Vignaud has spent over fifteen years immersed in the world of fine wines. He worked closely with the Harlan family during the development and launch of Promontory, partnering with Will Harlan through the estate’s official opening in 2016, before going on to contribute to the continued evolution of Harlan Estate’s international presence as its director. François joined Dalla Valle Vineyards as the director of global distribution, where he brings his experience and long-term perspective to one of Napa Valley’s most storied properties.

Before moving to the Napa Valley at the start of 2014, François worked for wine businesses in various regions of France, Italy, and California, developing marketing strategies and hospitality programs at wineries and chateaux including Opus One, Château Mouton-Rothschild, Château Lynch-Bages, and Château Kirwan.

François received both his BA in Geography and a Master’s specializing in Wine Geography from the Paris-Sorbonne University, before earning a Master’s in Wine and Spirits Management at BEM Bordeaux Management School.
