The estate wines produced by Dalla Valle Vineyards originates in specific vineyard blocks, imbuing each with a unique sense of place. The Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon, Maya and Collina Dalla Valle are all blended, in varying amounts, from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown on the property.
MDV is a special bottling of the absolute best wine produced from the Maya Block of Cabernet Sauvignon on our estate. This is a wine that captures the essence of Napa Valley’s signature variety, grown in an area that is arguably its best match in the world. It will be produced only in exceptional vintages.
This jewel in the crown originates in the remarkable vineyard that shares its name. A proprietary blend aged in primarily new French oak, Maya showcases the site’s exceptional Cabernet Franc; it is graceful and alluring with an unmistakable pedigree. Fewer than 500 cases are produced each year.
|Dalla Valle Cabernet Sauvignon||vintage notes:|
The first vintage, produced in 1986, established this wine as an instant Napa Valley classic. Select Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and aged in no greater than 60% new French oak. For close to three decades, this standard-bearer has consistently shown impressive structure and velvety berry flavors.
|Collina Dalla Valle||vintage notes:|
This newest offering is a compelling testament to what Dalla Valle’s hillside blocks are capable of producing. Blended mainly from the fruit of the estate’s young vines, Collina, which means “hill” in Italian, is intended to be enjoyed upon release—although, like all Dalla Valle wines, it will continue to evolve for a decade or longer.
